And the award goes to . . . Leona Shaffer!!!!
Yes, Aunt Leona gets the coveted Poker Cats Award with a score of 8,005 points on the summer trivia edition.
There were some very colorful answers to last summer's questions. I disqualified my Dad for entering three times but
on his third entry he said that Andy's golf handicap was . . . "Lynne." He also said that Mike's favorite team was the
"Ass Cowboys" and that my college major was "potpourri." Uncle Jim stated that Andy's handicap was "2, but he lies."
Finally, Lynne said that my college major was Restaurant and Hotel Adiministration.
I wish it was -- I'd probably have a real job.
Here are the real answers: I accepted 1 or 2 for Andy's handicap. I don't really know what
it is but those were Lynne and Uncle Jim's answers and I figured they probably knew. My actual major was General Studies
but I also accepted Liberal Arts. The person in the mystery photo was Aunt Marge, and the crop that Italy produces the most
metric tons of is sugar beets (that was disputed by Dave but in a blatant abuse of my executive privelege as web-designer I am
over-ruling him). Mike's favorite team is, of course, the Cowboys and the greatest team of all-time is, of course, the Steelers.
Aunt Leona
got everything right except for the sugar beets but I think she must have had help with the college major question. Anyway, as soon as I can
get to Florida I will be moving the poker cats to Leona's house so Grandma can breathe a sigh of relief! I am going to add a new
award in addition to the poker cats. This one is actually nice and you get to keep it, unlike the "cats" which changes hands
with every new winner.
